30 December In Conversation III8am, on a weekend morning. BC residence.
‘ADIK! Shower!’
Silence.
‘ILMAN! Shower!’ ‘Why?’ ‘Because it’s morning … ‘ ‘Why?’ ‘Because we always shower in the morning … ‘ ‘Why?’ ‘Because you stink … ‘ ‘Why?’
Exasperation sinks in.
‘OK! You want to read or shower?’ ‘SHOWER!!’
A few seconds later, the toilet recitation can be heard throughout the house …
‘Allahuma inni … ‘
29 December Eye-less @ TitiwangsaThe time we were near Titiwangsa, we decided to give the Eye of Malaysia a ride (of course, this was before the Flyer flew into problems – now, of course, we are having no rides of such genre – ever).
Anyways, back to the Eye, we drove round and round Titiwangsa. Ibu Ros has taken a ride on it before and affirmed that it was there at Titiwangsa. Hubs did remark one thing though – you see, our hotel was very much in the vicinity and we could clearly see the lake – the Titiwangsa lake. Surely, we could have spotted the Eye, right? But no - we could not see the Eye, even though we were high up on the 29th floor.
And so, on that day, we drove round and round. Nope .. no Eye. At one point, I rolled the car seat window down and called out to a stallholder. Where was the Eye?
Ha ha. It appears that the Eye HAS BEEN MOVED SINCE AUG 07 to Malacca! The entire thing has been dismantled and moved over to another state altogether!
Right away, the image of the Flyer being moved to maybe Changi came to mind … and oh, what a load of work that would be!
Ah well … the day was not wasted just like that though. For compensation, the whoever-moved-the-Eye has/have built a MEGA HUGE-ENORMOUS-WIDESPREAD playground in its place.
Of course, the boys went berserk. And the parents too … especially when, at one time, I was unable to locate Pau2.
Seriously, children can go missing waltzing around in that playground!
.: It's just one HUGE playground ... Equivalent to a stretch from maybe Bedok to Tampines (ha!).
.: This 'treetop' I can stomach .. anytime.
Breathing TherapyI received this via email. The only thing I could think of is this image of me having TWO noses – a right and a left. Why ‘nose’? Why not ‘nostrils’?Anyways, that’s beside the point. Have fun experimenting!
Breathing Therapy
The nose has a left and a right side; we use both to inhale and exhale (excuse me, but we don’t use the right and life SIDES to inhale and exhale, do we?) Actually they are different; you would be able to feel the difference.
The right side represents the sun, left side represents the moon.
During a headache, try to close your right nose and use your left nose to breathe. In about 5 mins, your headache will be gone. If you feel tired, just reverse, close your left nose and breathe through your right nose. After a while, you will feel your mind is refreshed.
Right side belongs to 'hot', so it gets heated up easily, left side belongs to 'cold'. Most females breathe with their left noses, so they get "cooled off" faster. Most of the guys breathe with their right noses, they get worked up.
Do you notice the moment we wake up, which side breathes faster? Left or right? If left is faster, you will feel tired. So,close your left nose and use your right nose for breathing, you will get refreshed quickly. This can be taught to kids, but it is more effective when practised by adults.
Marina BarrageKakak said that new place in town is worth visiting. And so that's what we did, on Friday. We came PREPARED! Ah yes, the reservoir in the city is nice ... but only when the weather is nice as well too. Which it was, on the day we went and had a ball.
.: Shallow fun.
.: Sons and Parents .. and whose finger is that jabbing there?? AmnesiaI was updating the picture of Imin’s bump when I could not recall on what day he fell down to gain such ‘crown’ (what a looooooong weekend). I nudged Hubs on MSN to ask:
diva ™ says: ayah diva ™ says: abang jatuh hari ape? ®يازكاتراز says: hari hari
Joker. ‘One cannot sit still, one cannot stop talking …’
diva ™ says: hee .. the latest lah .. ®يازكاتراز says: tadi pagi diva ™ says: no! the one he got an extra head ®يازكاتراز says: Friday
Be Careful Now29 December 2008.
The holiday season is still ongoing and thus, this explains (perhaps) why the office today is quite like a morgue.
This morning, I walk to my cubicle and check my emails. Thankfully, nothing urgently requiring my attention and thus are automatically being relocated to my procrastination bucket, which, seriously, at the moment, is threatening to burst of its contents. Sigh .. one of these days, I will get back to you, o dear bucket .. pat pat.
I walk to the Print Lab and retrieve some of the reports that I have just printed. And right at the copier-cum-printer, I come across (hey, could not help it, the darn evidence is facing right up) – a RESIGNATION LETTER dated 23 Dec 08!
This office is big and thus, I know not the resignee (is there such a term even?). Anyways, to him (that is one thing I am sure of), all the best, dude …
But I guess, folks, a lesson to be learnt from this here – especially if you are in the habit of using office equipments for personal use - kindly check and recheck and remove all evidence, yes? 23 December Gone, Back, Gone, BackHe. Hee. Heee.
Ever heard of going for a holiday TWICE in a MONTH
to the SAME CITY of the SAME COUNTRY?
He. Hee. Heee.
We just did that!
And what a blast we had!
Now I know the trick to a great holiday -
get checked-in a great hotel (min 4 stars) and the rest is history!
In ConversationI love you. Really? Yes …
If I have to die … which I will eventually … I want to die before you. Why? Because … because I cannot imagine life without you … 09 December First and LastLast weekend, we had the longest walk in our lives. A lesson that I learnt from this walk is that my youngest son is a very noisy boy who will (mercifully) ONLY keep quiet when he is given some foods to stuff in his mouth whilst walking (Hubs said - Bagus jugak kasi makan. Aman sket dunia). My eldest, however, is very tolerant and very non-complaining. Very good.
Another lesson I learnt is that we are not NATURE lovers.
Yet, another lesson I learnt is that once you step into this place, there's no way back - no U-turn. It's almost maddening at some point.
Where is this place? To take the longest walk ever, kindly proceed to MacRitchie, and all the way to the Tree Top. It took us almost the entire day to go AROUND MacRitchie and when we finally exited from the forest, we had, of course, exited NOT from where we came in from. At that point, we had enough of walking - we took a taxi from Thomson Plaza back to the entrance of MacRitchie where we had parked ZAZA.
The walk was very traumatic, we are feeling the effects of it now - our legs are real sore! Many times during the walk, I kept on telling Hubs - first and last, first and last. Now, the very word MacRitchie strikes fear in Pau2's heart - mention it, and he'll go berserk!
(There are plans to go on to Mount Kinabalu for our 7th wedding anniversary next year, but after what happened @ MacRitchie, I'm having third thoughts. I'm just not a nature person, I guess.)
.: The first steps were eager and full of zest.
.: Then the steps got slower and slower ...
.: We did it! We scoured hills and mountains to reach the top!
.: Our destination ... finally.
.: Walking along the Treetop.
Port Dickson 2008Here are some shots from the PD trip ...
.: We were met at the reception by two very tall clowns
... err, not those in grey but the TALL ones behind. .: Which kids do not like wet, water and being wild?
Parent included, too. .: The view from our family suite.
.: It was fun with a capital F ... for boys of course.
.: The PD Mini Zoo .. well, to be honest, the animals look 'abused' here.
.: At the entrance of the Mini Zoo.
.: Stopover @ Mak's sister's son home @ Selangor. Two weeks, later,
this place, (not this particular house, but the area around it) suffered a
terrible landslide since Highlands Towers. Yup, it's the Beverly Hills area of
Malaysia ... but dangerous too.
04 December Pretty Wet
It is raining. It is raining very heavily. It is raining the day – TODAY – I decided to slip on my open-toe heels shoes to work.
